“The Wave”
This is my first layered alcohol ink piece that I did in 2020.
It was definitely a challenge but one that I most definitely enjoyed learning how to do.
Ocean waves have always fascinated me, scared me but also calmed me. I long for trips to the ocean where I can reboot.
No two waves are ever the same but yet they are the same. They can be fierce but also soothing. They can offer fear of death or they can offer enjoyment of life. I’ve been told that the frequency of ocean waves hitting the shore and then retreating carry every known frequency thus creating a harmonious healing sound.
As an artist, my favorite color of all is turquoise in all shades of blue. You’ll see it a lot in my paintings. The color Turquoise symbolically represents the heart of God communing with the spirit of man. So I pray as you look at this painting/ work of art that your fear, anxiety, loneliness, depression, sadness, overwhelmingness or heaviness be washed away with a soothing wave of hope, peace, joy, calmness, laughter, and lightness from the heart of God. May you be renewed refreshed, and revived.
