“ART IS THE HIGHEST FORM OF HOPE”~Gerard Richter
I painted this painting a few years ago based on Psalm 91:1-4 as a prayer for those who were being trafficked in the sex slave industry. The painting depicts God covering someone and protecting them from the darkness trying to destroy them and overtake them. Darkness is represented on the left side of the painting. His wing shelters her, embraces her and puts her in his shadow caused by the Joy, Hope and Love in the right side of the painting. The blanket on the woman represents many different cultures representing the whole world.
The great thing about art is that when you create it, it can have many interpretations. Heaven will protect any of us and it is there that we can find refuge.
