With tears running down my cheeks, I write that today,on August 21,2007, a little girl listed with IAAP in China named Dang XinLi passed away. Though I didn't know this child personally, she represents to me all the orphans my heart aches for. Just shortly after she was removed from
life support, she went to be with Jesus.
The
doctors had finally told the director that there was no hope for her
recovery, and so the decision was made.
Thanks to Love Without Boundaries who tried in every way possible to save this child's life.
XinLi had never had the opportunity in her short life to run and play
with her friends. Her heart condition made even the most simple task
a great effort for her. But she never seemed to let her disability
get her down. She started each day with a smile that charmed all her
nannies, and anyone who came to the Center. She loved to play, loved
to work puzzles, and loved to snuggle in the lap of anyone who was
near!
XinLi had a sweet soul....Now she sits in the arms of Jesus and dances with the One who created her. He has kept his promise to her, "He defended her." Not in the way we would have thought, but in the ultimate way, God's way.
XinLi never knew the arms of her mother that was waiting to come and get her but now she knows the arms of her heavenly Father who loved her even more.
Every day orphans die without knowing the earthly love of a mom and dad. My heart breaks for those children. Who will be Jesus to them? Who will love "the least of these" before they die or rescue them from dying?
