My name is Melissa Carter and I am a mother of 6 children, 5 of whom are adopted internationally. My husband Duane and I live in Florence, Alabama with our children Seora, Maggie, Ben, Nathaniel and Graham. We are currently in the process of adopting Andrew and Allan from Uganda

Adoption as a Ministry

We are very involved in adoption and would love to hear your adoption story. We are currently adopting one little boy and one little girl from Uganda. Duane and I see adoption as a ministry and feel God has called us to do this work. As we cannot adopt every child ourselves, we want to spread awareness of the need of kids to be adopted.

All profit from the sale of my products aid orphans.

I head up an online support group for those who have adopted older children and face problems with attachment and learning disabilities. Visit my links page to visit.

Duane provides medical evaluations for adoptive families at greatly reduced cost when they receive their referral.

I have been painting approximately 5 or so years. I have always been artistic and have always had a love for watercolors. One year I decided to try my hand at it and found that I loved painting watercolor even more than I loved looking at them. I studied under Ann McCutcheon and have taken numerous art workshops to increase my skills. I curently study under Tim Stevenson. I pray that you may enjoy this talent that God has gifted me with. I want to use it to help other little children come home to a forever family.
