Orphans and adoption pretty much define our lives. Duane and I see adoption as an interwoven fiber of our lives. We have been obedient to feel God's heartbeat in reaching out to the needy. Of course, we cannot adopt every child ourselves but we want to be obedient when he shows us a child that needs his love. We want to spread awareness about the need of kids to be adopted and of orphans to be supported. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of my art and products aid orphans and issues relating to orphans. I try to be a support to those who have adopted older children and face problems with attachment and learning disabilities. Duane provides medical evaluations for adoptive families at greatly reduced cost when they receive their referral.

I have been painting approximately 9 years. I have always been artistic and have always had a love for watercolors. One year I decided to try my hand at it and found that I loved painting watercolor even more than I loved looking at them. I always ask God to allow His creativity to flow through me before starting a painting. It really is amazing once I start. I like to tell stories through my paintings and often hide words or messages in them. My favorite message to portray is HOPE. My favorite verse in the Bible is Psalm 62:5-7. "Find rest O my soul, in God Alone; my hope comes from Him. He alone is my Rock and Salvation; He is my Fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend on God; He is my mighty Rock, my refuge."

Not only do I want to portray the message of HOPE in my paintings but I also want to give back and offer HOPE to those so desperate for it. I hope not only to be a voice but a doer as well. A portion of all my painting sales benefit orphans, adoption and other issues tied to them.
